We collect and use your personal information to:
- assess your borrowing needs and provide credit assistance;
- prepare and submit loan applications to lenders on your behalf;
- verify your identity and comply with our obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009, the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006, and other applicable laws;

5. Credit reporting information
As a credit assistance provider, we may collect credit reporting information about you — such as your credit history and credit score — from credit reporting bodies, and disclose information to them, in accordance with Part IIIA of the Privacy Act 1988 and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code. We use this information to assess your creditworthiness and suitability for the loans we help you apply for.

7. Overseas disclosure
We do not currently disclose personal information to recipients located outside Australia. If this changes, we will update this policy to identify the countries involved, where practicable.
8. Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including secure file storage, restricted access and staff training. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Direct marketing
We may use your contact details to send you information about our services, mortgage and rate updates, or other content we think may be of interest to you. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
10. Cookies and website analytics

This is a template privacy policy prepared as a starting point for Shoreline Broking. Have it reviewed by a qualified compliance consultant or lawyer before publishing — in particular to confirm your aggregator's data-handling arrangements and any state-specific requirements. If you add analytics, marketing cookies or new third-party tools later, Section 10 will need updating to match.
